On June 29 (Tue), a donation ceremony for the Beautiful Book Support Project was held at the conference room of the NCRC.
Through this donation ceremony, the Hansol Education Hope Foundation will provide books to children recommended by 16 local home consignment support centers nationwide.
The foundation and NCRC selected supporting children with priority for low-income families with poor reading environments to reduce the burden of parenting for foster families who are caring for their families.
In 2021, a total of 90 children (40 preschoolers, 50 preschoolers) will be provided with a total of 65 million won worth of items, including 20 million won worth of books (desk or bookshelf+chair sets) and 45 million won worth of Hansol Education books.
"Making Beautiful Books," which has been around for 10 years since 2012, is a social contribution program that utilizes the assets of Hansol Education, a parent company specializing in infant education, and is a project to improve the reading environment for vulnerable children through sharing donations.
In particular, the donation ceremony will be of great help to foster families as children from foster homes are more in dire need of learning or creating a reading environment at home as they start home or online school due to COVID-19.
