Community Child Centers
After-school care to help parents raise their children in a healthy, safe environment
CCCs provide a wide range of services in partnership with local communities to promote the healthy growth and development of school-age children
Legal basis: Child Welfare Act, Article 10-2, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph 8
Major projects
- CCC staff capacity building
- Compulsory training for all employees
- Consulting services necessary for operation of CCCs and support for partnership with relevant organizations
- CCC evaluation
- Annual evaluation of selected CCCs
- Research
- Panel survey of CCC children
- Building a CCC database
- Advertising for improvement of public awareness of CCCs
- Utilizing on- and offline channels to increase public recognition
- Running supporter groups and CCC ambassador groups
- Searching for outstanding projects and holding policy forums
- Support for childcare teachers
- Operating and monitoring childcare teacher programs
- Creating teacher training curriculum to accommodate individual teacher experience, specialization, and location
- Integration of all resources available to CCCs
- Creating a resource network through the online platform for effective operation of CCCs
- Operating a “Nanum Council” to consolidate partnerships with sponsors
- Scholarship programs for CCC children
